ENTER’s fifth annual print edition will be released in late May, offering an in-depth look at emerging ideas, materials, and projects shaping the built environment.

This year’s departments examine a range of innovations, from the expanding use of microgrids to new applications for mycelium-based composites. The issue also previews two high-performance Hennepin County Library facilities scheduled to open in 2027.

Featured projects in the 2026 annual include:

  • Boston Scientific’s new Maple Grove campus, designed by Perkins&Will and Ryan A+E, Inc.

  • The Washington County Central Service and License Center in Woodbury, designed by Alliiance

  • 2441 Arts, D/O Architects’ renovation of a Clarence Johnston–designed building in St. Paul

  • Crescendo, a single-family residence in St. Louis Park designed by CityDeskStudio

  • Wausau Homestead, a multigenerational home in Wisconsin by PKA Architecture

Feature-length articles explore the potential for a mass timber economy in Minnesota, evolving models for affordable multigenerational housing in Rochester and Minneapolis, and new approaches to mentorship within the architectural profession. In a featured conversation, Jamie Verbrugge, CEO of Catholic Charities Twin Cities, discusses how services, spaces, and systems can better support pathways from crisis to stability.

The issue also includes a special section highlighting recent winners of the AIA Minnesota Honor Awards, Affordable Housing Design Award, and 25 Year Award, along with robust directories of Minnesota architecture firms and building-project consultants.

The 168-page issue will be available for purchase in May at $18. Members of AIA Minnesota will receive a complimentary copy by mail.
